The Porta Nova Quartet has performed in the same formation for over ten years. The four musicians from the Philharmonic Orchestra of the City of Ulm share a deep love for chamber music and enjoy quartet playing as a refreshing contrast to orchestral life. This year’s program features Richard Strauss’s only string quartet in A major, Op.?2, an early work from 1880, and Franz Schubert’s renowned String Quartet in A minor, D804 – the “Rosamunde Quartet.” A top-class chamber concert awaits you!
